Supporting K-12 students in the public library setting can be a real challenge. As librarians, we care about Alberta's learners and their success but where do you find credible resources that younger students can understand? How do you throw a lifeline of authoritative resources to students feeling overwhelmed in a sea of information online without doing their homework for them? How can you save your budget by accessing already licensed content? LearnAlberta.ca’s Online Reference Centre can help with that! This session will provide: ORC access information, an overview of resources available, ideas for promoting and building awareness for the ORC in the public library setting, as well as access information for training materials and curriculum mapping documents.
